Castel Camping La Garangeoire

First stay here, so much to do and keep children entertained but some how still feels relaxing and like an escape. Beautiful grounds, all staff friendly and really look after the customers. We stayed with our 2 boys ages 6 and 2 and they both had the best time, enjoying the pool, park, football, boats and so much more. Can’t speak highly enough of this site and will be back.

Very small thing but having a mini disco more than once a week would have been a hit with our boys

Amazing break away with family and friends

Le séjour s'est très bien passé, très beau cadre, le personnel est très accueillant qui prend en compte nos demandes et y répond très rapidement et avec le sourire. Notre parcelle était spacieux. Chalet fonctionnel et agréable. Très grand espace dans le camping, nous n'avions pas l'impression d'être serré ou nombreux. De nombreux services sont mis à disposition.

Etant un camping où les chiens sont les bienvenus, nous nous attendions à ce que la parcelle soit clôturée ou tout au moins, que la terrasse puisse se fermer. En effet, nous devions attacher notre chienne à notre chaise pour qu'elle puisse profiter avec nous de l'extérieur. On a regretté que certaines activités soient payantes en plus de notre séjour.

Zeer goede service en voorzieningen. Value for money.

Super nette camping met vriendelijk personeel, dat ook in het Engels aangesproken kan worden. Super afwisselend entertainment in de avonduren!

Iets meer afvalbakken en verlichting. Vooral rond het toiletgebouw

Our tenth visit to the campsite. Every year we stay longer and longer and love every moment. It is so lovely seeing friends and familiar faces and the campsite is exceptional in every respect. Thank you, Anne, Eric and your amazing team for everything.

Minor thing - please can we get plugs in all the kitchen sinks?

The site may be large but it has done well to cultivate and maintain the feel of a smaller site. We were made to feel welcome by all staff. The pitches were huge and the en-suite shower, sink & toilet a welcome addition. We loved the pools, the entertainment, the canoes and crepe making. A real highlight was the tour by the owner Anne. It really brought the site to life, learning about its history and how hard she and her family have worked to keep it moving forwards as a family run site.

I personally thought the contactless wristbands were a bit unnecessary. Limited vegetarian / vegan options on menus on onsite eateries, however shop was well stocked.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. Great variety in the shop. Takeaway food was delicious. Pool is clean and has plenty of sunbeds. A good range of activities for all ages. We loved the run club, aqua aerobics, crossfit and Lane swimming to keep up with exercise. Pitches were spacious and well maintained, excellent equipment. The showers we clean and tidy.

Music by the pool would be relaxing. The deposit for Tennis was required in cash or card, not through the bands. It would be useful to be able to use the bands for this too.

Fijne camping. Goed verzorgd en grote plekken. Het sanitair die wij bij onze plek hadden was meer dan prima. Ook het drinken op een Frans terrasje voor de ingang nodigt uit om zeker er te gaan zitten. Dat hebben wij dan elke dag even gedaan. Alleen waren de parasols schaars maar dat is volgend jaar vast opgelost. Tot volgend jaar 😃

Restaurant wasn't as good as previous years - the food was nowhere near the quality we used to experience.

Fantastic week for myself and my family. We stayed in a safari lodge and it was magical to wake up in the wooded surroundings. Spent the entire week cycling, playing table tennis and having fun in the pools. We even manage to try fishing and catch a bunch of fish. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax orCashles give the kids a fun filled week.

Top up app is a pain to use on the wristbands with three kids. You have to keep adding your details each time you top up. Can take a long time with 5 people. Much easier going into reception and using cash.

First time at this site having spent many years at a site in the Loire which sadly no longer has touring pitches. La Garangeoire was above what we expected. Relaxing, safe, hard working staff, beautiful location, lots on offer on site and great sized pitches. Will definitely go again.

Make the terrace bar near reception into a non pedestrian walk way. We loved spending time here with friends also on site late afternoon most days, slightly spoilt by the amount of people having to walk through this space.

We loved our previous stay so much we brought back the whole family. We loved the facilities, the atmosphere, the activities. My 9 year old loved going to pick up breakfast from the shop every morning. It felt very safe to let him go alone. I really like the green eco friendly initiatives. I was so pleased to see the swallows again. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The 10pm noise reduction was very well adhered to.

It got too hot for our dog. The dog field is great and a small pool would be a great addition in the crazy hot weather. The crepes felt rushed and our stove was too hot so they were burning within seconds of pouring. Last time it was a more leisurely relaxing experience.

Excellence from the arrival to the departure and the 5.5 weeks between. We love being here and the manner in which the site is run. Children and very happy and safe, Anne and Eric are always around and I feel relaxed the moment I drive up the tree lined avenue towards the castle

Perfect, great family resort that has everything you need. Lovely pool area, lagoon fabulous for the little ones and great food and drink areas . Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Only one critique for me , was the bar didn’t stick full sugar coke and due to my intolerance to artificial sugar was unable to drink at the bar .

The campsite is the most relaxed and welcoming place we visit! The people you meet become lifelong friends and we always can’t wait to return next year.

Grand Camping Trés propre, accueillant avec de la verdure, arbres, nature, les pigeons qui roucoulent...un mobilhome PMR adapté aux personnes handicapées est un sacré plus pour les familles qui sont en recherche de place et adaptations. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié la gentillesse d'Anne pour son aide dans plusieurs de nos demandes, merci également pour le transat qui était à disposition de notre fille polyhandicapée, gravement malade. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Pour les mobilhomes PMR, une climatisation serait un point trés positiif neanmoins nous avons pu obtenir un prêt de ventilateurs qui nous a été trés utile,

This camping has been a great surprise for us. We booked it based on reviews and expected a great and easy camping experience. We were hoping for a 5 star camping, somehow they managed to add a 6 stars on our book. We have 3 children, we felt safe they can roam the campsite. They had a lot of activities to do, between the playground or the planned activities at the camping. There is a water fountain easy to access for the kids near the pool/restaurant. They were able to manage their hydration themselves. The camping pitches were really good too, lot of shades, excellent amenities.

The pain au chocolat or the croissant, they are not as good as the one you can get to the boulangerie in the town next door. That's the difference between real butter croissant and palm oil or vegetable oil based ones.

Absolutely loved our stay. Fantastic site, facilities clean and great. Kids loved the pool and lagoon
