De camping lag heel mooi, in de middle of nowhere en het was heel rustig. Wij vinden dat heel fijn. Voor anderen was het te stil. Er waren heel weinig kampeerders. Het was wel schoon.
Er was achterstallig onderhoud (zwembad) en de douches waren gedateerd. Het restaurant en de bar waren dicht. Je kon wel iets te eten en drinken krijgen maar dan moest je dat zelf aangeven. En er was geen mobiele dekking in dat gebied.

We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, unfortunately for you , you were our first and only guests to arrive on opening day, however you expected a fully a la carte restaurant !! We explained that if you would like to eat at anytime you only had to ask and we would cook for you. The bar was open every evening from 1900hrs, which was also explained to you on your arrival, however ,not once did you come near the bar or the terrace other than to use the internet, which is offered free of charge as there is no mobile coverage. We supplied you with full details of all the local tourist attractions and places to visit, however you told me that you knew the area and weren't interested in what I proposed. So from a campsite owners point of view, you are not interesting guests, as it was not possible to interact with you! Yes, I know we not supposed to write things like this, but why not, you can criticiseus and our campsite, so why shouldn't we be able to do the same.

We found the site to be very quiet during our stay, with only four pitches occupied out of the seventy advertised. Our pitch was a good size and we enjoyed the late evening sunshine making use of the pitch opposite. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and perfectly adequate. Stuart and Sheila deserve credit for what they have achieved and the hard work they have put in over the past 30 years, It is a shame that the business appears to have lost some of its former attraction. The pool was a real blessing as the temperatures rose. A peaceful, relaxing (remote) 8 day stay.

* The owners were lovely. * The location, excellent.
* Should ideally be grass tent pitches, not mud. * More staff to support more reasonable bar and restaurant opening times, and general maintenance of site. * Washroom lighting should be operable at anytime of the day.
The quiet position was great.
The mud-based pitch resulted in 2 weeks of continuous cleaning of footwear and floor coverings.

The setting is tranquil and the facilities excellent. stuart and Sheila are very helpful with a wealth of suggestions for visits in the area. The dining and bar are great and it has to be said the food is excellent

Very cozy and quiet, very large pool, very friendly service and owners as well, very good food, and very large and beautiful pitches.
The showers turn off every 3 seconds and it’s very difficult to wash your hair properly. In addition, the water was too hot, it even burned. The pool also needs maintenance.

Te veel om op te noemen: Zeer verouderd, de camping is slecht onderhouden, overal liggen stapels tegels, de website is absoluut niet up te date, er is werkelijk niks te doen, eten moet al besteld worden op t moment dat men een tafel reserveert en nog veel meer
Daar ga ik over nadenken

Le lieu est en pleine nature, sur un domaine, vallonné.... bois.... champs. Très ressourçant, aucun bruit aux alentours, seulement les oiseaux, hurlements des hiboux. On peut déconnecter. La piscine est superbe, elle surplombe la nature . Camping sans enfants, donc Détente absolue. Merci

Tranquillité absolue, accueil convivial. Des installations très propres et entretenues. Une clientèle souriante et respectueuse des autres. Une piscine avec le cadre et le charme d’un Relais et Château. C’était notre deuxième séjour, mais pas le dernier. Bravo à Sheila et Stuart ainsi qu’à leur équipe. Sylvie et Philippe.

la tranquillité, le calme et la grandeur de notre emplacement
les joints de la piscine, la propreté (les mouches) dans les douches et les lavabos, les toilettes hommes qui fuient, les siphons aux emplacements vaisselle et linge. Robinet pas assez long au niveau des éviers vaisselle.
l'emplacement très bien ombragé comme demandé à la réservation et bien séparé des autres campeurs pour préserver notre intimité.

We had a great stay at the Chateau de Lacomté, it was a week of one of the most peaceful campsites I've been on. Bar, restaurant and swimming pool were spot on. Friendly owners and staff provided a lovely service and immaculately clean facilities. Pitches were spacious and shaded or sunny depending on your position and with hedges and trees for privacy. The local village was lovely but no shops or anything. There is however a weekly food event on Tuesday evenings. Lots of beautiful places to visit, I recommend Martel.

Schoonmaken toiletten en douches Vriendelijkheid en flexibiliteit baas Kraantjes op plaats Mos verwijderen op de weg en tennisbaan Veiligheid door dakpannen eens goed te checken! Er waren er 3 gevallen! Empathie door baas, voorbeeld: als het warm is laat mensen dan om 21.00 uur ook nog zwemmen, doe niet zo moeilijk, behandel je gasten alsof ze gasten zijn! Tips van de omgeving delen! Algemeen onderhoud! Flexibiliteit! Baas was totaal niet vriendelijk!

Baas begon te vertellen dat er op bepaalde plekken geen stroom was, dit was wel zo, ik kreeg de indruk dat baas loog over die plekken. En dat was ook naar anderen zo. Baas was niet erg uitnodigend voor het ontvangen van kritiek! Geen fijne man. Geen onderhoud, kraantjes hebben onderhoud nodig! Baas denkt niet mee! Te weinig onderhoud, tegels liggen los bij het zwembad, algen in de hoekjes, wespennest, etc.. Samenvattend is dit geen 4 sterren camping!

Stuart and Sheila are terrific hosts and have a great team. We loved everything about our stay - excellent food, wonderful location, large level pitch. We will definitely be back and we have no hesitation in recommending this superb site.
On the. basis that nothing is perfect it would have been good to have a decent mobile signal at our pitch - this did not detract from our stay S it meant we had to talk to each other!😎
Large level pitch with water and grey water emptying. We had a freedom pitch - we were very glad we did as the countryside and local towns and villages are spectacular but the roads are far too small for a big motorhome to travel around sightseeing.

Le camping est très calme, les emplacements sont spacieux et ombragés, les sanitaires sont nettoyé tout les jours, ainsi que les allées du camping, le restaurant est très bon les produits sont de qualité, les propriétaires sont adorables.
Le réseau téléphonique est inexistant et la wi-fi est affreuse, pour l'obtenir c'est au bar et il est obligatoire de consommer. Les prix pour le pain et viennoiserie ainsi que le bar ne sont pas affichés, d'ailleurs il y a aucune carte. La piscine et ces abords commence à être sérieusement vétuste, comme des fuites d'eau facilement réparable dans les sanitaires, plus beaucoup d'éclairage fonctionne dans allées.
